About our Foundys

Airsphere Foundation is built on a simple 50/50 belief: half of our mission is about preserving what gives life meaning — trees, memories, nature, breath, and the living atmosphere — and the other half is about understanding the systems that shape our future, including aviation, mobility, and the expansion of airports. We believe environmental responsibility and modern development should not exist as opposites, but in balance.
Our work stands for protection and awareness. We care about trees not only as symbols of life, but as living anchors of memory, oxygen, climate stability, and human continuity. In that sense, every protected space, every planted tree, and every remembered story becomes part of a wider effort to keep the air sphere alive.
Airsphere Foundation also looks at the world as it is: people fly, infrastructure grows, and airports continue to be built and expanded. Instead of ignoring this reality, we believe it must be understood, questioned, and met with responsibility. The future of air travel should not be separated from the future of the atmosphere.
Inspired in part by ideas of community, solidarity, and shared responsibility similar to what Pagamory describes as a digital solidarity-based model, Airsphere Foundation sees collective action as essential for change. Real protection happens when people contribute together, support one another, and take part in something larger than themselves.
At its core, Airsphere Foundation connects memory and movement: the memories we want to keep, the natural world we want to protect, and the human systems we must reshape with care. Air is not invisible in its meaning — it carries life, history, and tomorrow.

How It All Started

Airsphere Foundation did not begin with a single idea – it began with a feeling.
The feeling of standing under a tree and realizing that this small patch of green holds memories, oxygen, and a future that is already quietly disappearing. And at the same time, the feeling of staring up at an airplane in the sky and asking: Can we keep flying, without killing the air that lets us live?

The idea clicked in 2025, when the first serious ozone‑related warnings returned into public conversation. It felt like a moment of déjà‑vu, like history was repeating itself – but this time we decided not to look away. Airsphere Foundation was born from that mix: half‑fear, half‑hope.

Inspired by community‑based ideas such as Pagamory, which combines digital play, care, and shared responsibility, we realized that change does not need to be expensive or loud. It needs presence, awareness, and small, repeated actions.
So instead of seeing trees vs. planes as a contradiction, we asked: What if they belonged to the same story? Trees that restore the air, planes that use it less, airports that could be rethought as green hubs instead of concrete jungles.

Airsphere Foundation started as a wish – a wish to protect what we already forget, to remember what we take for granted, and to fly into a future where the sky is not just a route, but a living, shared space.
What began as a simple “50/50” idea – 50% memory, 50% progress – grew into a mission: to protect the air, support communities, and imagine a world where every flight, every tree, and every memory is part of the same atmosphere.

The Scale of Trees
If you look at Germany as a single map, every major forest area is already filled with trees – but there is still space for millions more. If every citizen planted just one tree, the country’s green surface would expand enough to cover several large cities in pure forest.

01 The Scale of Trees

Imagine that all runways and airport grounds in Germany were converted into parks. That alone would not be enough to replace the carbon absorbed by the forests we already have – but every new tree planted near a city or airport brings that balance one step closer.

02 Trees vs. Airports

Each tree holds thousands of memories: seasons, stories, conversations, and moments of silence. If you could visualize all those memories in one “memory forest,” the area would stretch far beyond the current forest belts of Germany and reach into the surrounding regions.

03 The Memory Forest

The number of takeoffs and landings in Germany over a single year equals a dense web of flight paths above the country. If you turned every flight into a single tree planted on the ground, the resulting forest would stretch from the Alps to the North Sea – and still keep growing.

04 Airports in the Atmosphere

If every building in Germany’s largest cities were given a single tree companion, the surface covered by trees would almost match the total built‑up area. That is a 50/50 visual: concrete on one side, green life on the other.

05 From Cities to Skies

Picture a map of Germany split in half: one side shows the current forest coverage, the other side shows the potential of a 50/50 world – where transportation, cities, and airports share the space with doubled forests, parks, and green corridors. That map is not science fiction; it is a sketch of the future we are trying to draw.
